The test

The test can be taken at a test centre or online at home (online for IELTS Academic only).
Preparation and results
The test fee includes free IELTS study materials from the British Council. IELTS Ready is a free platform with mock tests, skill-building exercises, test-day tips and progress tracking.
On computer, results usually arrive within 2 days (6–8 days for IELTS Online). With IELTS One Skill Retake you can retake a single skill instead of the full test.
